Mikal Jahaaski, Drummer - Jack Michael BandWe asked drummer Mikal Jahaaski to tell us about how he got into drumming and what he loves about it: Q. What drumming technique/style do you use? A. My tech. is to stay in the pocket for solid beats. My style is to play somewhat open to be able to throw in some signature rolls, yet still alow the bass player to lock in with me on the back beat. Q. How did you get into drumming? A. I got started playing drums because my parents got tired of me banging on their pots and pans. Q. Do you use your custom drumsticks for merch, playing or both? A. I use my personalized drum sticks for both merch and playing. Q. What is the best and worst part about playing on the road/tour? A. Best part about the road, is the road. Playing somewhere different everyday. Worst part is that I don't get to sit and just drink beer and BBQ. *This is an archived post. Of this writing, Foxy Drummer no longer sells 'custom to spec' drumsticks but we do still offer custom imprinting. Thank you to all of the drummers and artists that have supported us through the years. Mikal uses Foxy's wooden tip 5B (D= .600" L=16 3/8") personalized drumsticks For more information on Mikal and the Jack Michael Band, visit:
